Stretching is a form of physical exercise in which a specific muscle or tendon (or muscle group) is deliberately flexed or stretched in order to improve the muscle’s felt elasticity and achieve comfortable muscle tone. The result is a feeling of increased muscle control, flexibility, and range of motion.

How often do you stretch? Honestly…

Is it once a day, once a week, once a year?  Maybe you never stretch at all. Whatever your level of fitness is, stretching is an activity that is never out of reach and it is always a great place to start your fitness journey.

Just about every second of everyday our bodies are in use. Even while asleep, our bodies are much at work rebuilding the damages we have done throughout the course or our day. Because our bodies get such use, we develop tight muscle groups. These tight muscles soon develop into posture issues, pain or injuries. Consistent Stretching will help increase your range of motion, blood flow and strength, and decrease pain and injuries. We as a global community must embrace the many benefits of stretching, and develop a lifestyle to back it up!
